# Update: Communication Tools Editor
**Released:** Wednesday, November 26, 2025
## What's New
Managing your communication apps just got a whole lot easier. We've built a full-featured editor for your Communication Tools, making it simple to organize all the places people reach you - and access them exactly when you need them.

## Customize Your Communication Tools
### Visual Editor for All Your Tools
The new Communication Tools editor gives you complete control over your communication launchpad:
**Quick Add Popular Tools**
- Click any popular tool (Gmail, Slack, Outlook, Teams, Basecamp, and more) to add it instantly
- Tools that need configuration (like Basecamp or Jira) prompt you for your account details
- Icons are automatically added for recognized services
**Add Any Custom Tool**
- Click "+ Add Custom Tool" to add any website or app
- Works with web URLs (https://...) and app-specific URLs (obsidian://, notion://, slack://)
- Perfect for client portals, internal tools, or niche apps we don't have built-in
**Edit and Organize**
- Edit any tool's name, URL, or group
- Remove tools you no longer need
- Everything saves automatically
### Organize by Groups
The real power comes from organizing tools into groups that match how you work:
**Example Setups:**
*By Priority:*
- **VIP** - Important/filtered inboxes only (for shutdown)
- **Work** - All work communication tools
- **Personal** - Personal email and social
*By Time of Day:*
- **Morning Batch** - Everything you process in your communication block
- **Quick Check** - Just the essentials for mid-day scans
- **Shutdown** - VIP only (resist the urge to check everything!)
**Launch Entire Groups**
- Each group gets a "Launch [Group Name]" button
- One click opens all tools in that group in new tabs
- Perfect for batching your communication processing
### Command Palette Integration
Access your communication tools without leaving your keyboard:
1. Press `⌘K` (Mac) or `Ctrl+K` (Windows/Linux)
2. Type the name of any tool
3. Press Enter to launch it
You can also type "communication" to go directly to your Communication Tools page.

## Why Groups Matter for Your Rituals
Communication Tools are built into your daily rituals, and groups make them much more powerful:
### During Shutdown: VIP Only
The shutdown ritual reminds you: *"Focus on your VIP communications only. The rest can wait!"*
With groups, you can:
1. Create a "VIP" or "Essential" group with only your filtered/important inboxes
2. Click "Launch VIP" during shutdown
3. Handle only what's truly urgent
4. Close everything and enjoy your evening
### During Going Well: Quick Scan
The mid-day Going Well ritual asks you to review communications and decide if you're processing or just scanning.
With groups, you can:
- **Processing**: Launch your full "Work" group
- **Quick scan**: Launch just "VIP" to check for fires
### During Your Morning Block: Full Processing
This is when you launch everything. Open your "Work" group, process it all, then close it all and get into deep work.

- Improved task block editing flow

**Bulk Actions**
- Bulk actions no longer accidentally move milestone tasks
