Hey everyone,
There will be a brief hiatus on updates as I travel with my son on his 15 year old adventure. I have made some updates to the platform that I wanted to make sure you are aware of.
## Mindmaps and complexity in your tasks
The real world is complicated and mind maps can be a helpful way to help manage some of that complexity. I've experienced that myself as I work through building this and other complex projects.
In the future, I think this could be just another way that you see and manage your tasks. For now, I've made it possible for you to export your tasks as a mindmap, edit and manage them, and then re-import them.
[[Organizing Your Tasks with Mindmaps]] - has details on how to get and use the mindmapping software to help you manage your complex tasks.
I've used this myself, to help me massively simplify, and organize, the tasks that had accumulated within the system. I could move, aggregate and resort tasks. Many of them just needed to be in a place I can think about them - so they will stay in my overall mind map. The others are ones that I want to act on, so I reordered them and reimported it into my system. Once processed, my tasks and projects are much cleaner now.
## Visualizing and flowing in time - a better focus mode - Coming Soon
Core to the platform has always been the ability to help understand and design your time. Being intentional with your time, timeboxing and timeblocking are powerful tools. Being able to flow with time, especially as we have changes and delays would also be really helpful.
For those of you using the platform for the Task Trust System like me, much of the day I'm using the focus mode. Once I return I'll be releasing an update to the focus view that will allow you to
- see what is likely to be achieved and not achieved today (including accounting for uncertainty with x factors)
- be easily able to see what is coming up next
- be able to see when there is some break time in your day

I'll be extending this later to make it much easier to visualize what you are likely to be able to accomplish this week (i.e. today + next blocks). Part of this is already present in the high performance scheduler prototype available by clicking on Schedule in Tasks

## Other updates
Also updated are
- App 3.9.2 is released which improves the floating timer windows - [download here](https://my.maketimeflow.com/desktop)
- Timeblocking should now remember your calendar view and not default to the week view only
- more space for your 5 year and quarterly goals.
As always, please feel free to join us in [our community forum](https://community.maketimeflow.com)
Yours in flow,
Narath
